PHYSICS + SENSORS + COMPUTATION

I am an Applied Physics master’s student combining photonics with computational methods. My work spans optical measurement, spectroscopy and image processing, with a focus on machine learning and deep learning. I approach technical problems holistically, connecting the underlying physics and optical sensing systems with data processing and data-driven methods.

Selected Projects

As an Applied Physics student, I translate theory into practice through project-based work in university and professional R&D. The projects below span the experimental workflow, from implementation and measurement to system characterization, data processing and evaluation.

COLLABORATIVE RESEARCH PROJECT

Laser-Induced Plasma Source for Soft X-Rays

Recommissioning and characterizing a setup intended to generate soft X-rays from laser-induced plasma. Experimental work covered a pulsed laser, vacuum equipment, an ethanol jet and the detection setup.

INDUSTRIAL RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT
EMPLOYMENT / R&D

Industrial R&D at cleansort

Working-student R&D in a laser-based metal-sorting environment. My work combined measurement data acquisition, image processing and neural networks using MATLAB, Python and PyTorch.

COLLABORATIVE UNIVERSITY PROJECT / 2026

Optical Remote Sensing: Spectrometer & Sky Camera

A collaborative university project combining a spectrometer and a wide-angle sky camera on a Raspberry Pi. Python software provides instrument control, live visualization and automated, time-stamped data logging. Comparison measurements with a reference spectrometer supported the system’s characterization.

04 / ABOUT

Experimental thinking,
computational tools.

My work starts with physical systems: optical setups, cameras, lasers and measurement conditions. I then use programming and data analysis to extract a reliable result, test assumptions and understand where a method reaches its limits.

Python, MATLAB and PyTorch appear across the documented projects; my interests span photonics, optical metrology, spectroscopy and applied AI.
